What I’m Digging Wednesday 6.22

what i'm digging wednesday 6.22

Hey, hey friends! Welcome to What I’m Digging Wednesday 6.22!

This week is a fun one with some summer styles, the lifechanging #lifehack that has saved my disorganized purse life, the straw bag I’ve been using on repeat when I want something fancier, and my latest arts and crafts obsession that has morphed into a stress-relieving retreat.

I hope you find something amazing in this group to snag for yourselves and as always thank you so much for supporting and loving this fun little segment, What I’m Digging Wednesday!

what i'm digging wednesday 6.22

  1. Felt Insert Fabric Purse Organizer: Y’all. I cannot even with this little gadget from the organizational gods. It has changed my life, and I’m not even overdramatic when I say this. Gone are the days of “Where are my keys,” and “I can’t find my phone,” holding up my entire family any time we go anywhere. Because with this little organizer, I have my entire purse set up exactly as I need it with bonus points because I can simply pull it out and drop it in anytime I want to change purses. Yes. It’s that easy. I shared a reel about this last week and if you’re not following me (why the heck not), go check it out HERE, it shows in real-time just how easy it is to become YOU, only more organized. Then go grab one of these bad boys for yourself. You can thank me later. It really is that great.

  2. Easy Handheld Travel Steamer: True Story: I don’t iron. Like, ever. In full disclosure, one time when Jeff and I were newlyweds and I was trying really hard to be domestic and housewifey, I tried to iron one of his shirts. Only, it wasn’t an iron-able shirt and I burnt a big old iron mark into the back of his black dri-fit Black and Decker golf shirt. Which was fine, he had plenty, and I should have just thrown it away. Instead, I put it in the bottom of our hamper for years (I just kept putting it back in the hamper like a dang fool) he wore it and I had to pretend that I had no idea how it happened and say “Honey, I think something’s on the back of your shirt. You should change.” To this day he does not know what happened. Anyway, I don’t iron. I hate it. But when my now-famous pink and red dress for Kenzie’s Awards Banquet arrived it was a wrinkled mess and I had to do something. Enter in this handy dandy little steamer from Amazon which is cheap, easy, and effective. Why I waited so long to get on the steamer train I’ll never know. Since steaming that dress into perfection, I have gone on a little steamer spree. The shirt I’m wearing as I type? Steamed. The shorts? Also steamed. The dog? Steamed. (just kidding). But, seriously. This thing is a $20 purchase that might also be called life-changing without dramatics. So enjoy your new wrinkle-free life of ease on me, once you grab it HERE, of course.

  3. Embroidery Starter Kit For Adults: Cactus Version: Remember back in January when I got really into watercolor painting? And how I wasn’t very good at it, but that didn’t stop me from trying because I think we all need to learn how to do things just to do them and not to master them or find our purpose or put it on the ‘gram for a million likes? NO? Ok. Well, I did. And while I still love watercolor painting and do it often, I decided once again to try something new. This time–embroidery.  The good part about this time, though, is anyone can do it because it’s a KIT with outlines you trace with the thread, making it virtually dummy-proof. Embroidery, it turns out, is relaxing. Like, the most stress-releasing, engrossing craft I’ve picked up in a long time. Everyone, including me, is shocked at how much I like it. So, if you’re a wannabe crafter who can’t go rogue and do it on your own, this is for you. It’s so easy and a fun summer mother-daughter craft too. I highly recommend it. Get your kit HERE.

  4. Summer Straw Clutch: Just call this the WIDW of handbags and call it a day, because clearly, I’ve got purses on my mind! But, in my defense, this little summer clutch is so worth it. I grabbed it because I needed a good bag to use for a few dressier summer events but also wanted one that was versatile enough to be used every day for casual events if I needed it. This bag came in in the clutch (see what I did there?).  Made of on-trend rattan with a detachable strap, it can be used as a clutch for evening events (as I used it for two date night looks HERE), or you can use it as a cross-body bag for days when you want to be hands-free. I have received a ton of compliments on this one and no one even guesses I got it from Amazon. For such a small bag, it holds a surprising amount of stuff–my wallet, phone, glasses, keys, and lip gloss. And it’s neutral enough to go with everything. If you get just one bag this summer, make it this one. You won’t regret it! Get it HERE.

Happy Wednesday, folks. I hope you find something fun in this Amazon-heavy WIDW.

Peace, love, and Wednesdays,

Meg
