Hey Friends! Welcome to What I’m Digging Wednesday 4.20. This is a special Wednesday indeed because I’m sharing not one, but TWO, posts today in honor of Earth Day. So you’ll get this bunch of goodness and then also I have created the Dummies Guide to Composting for all of those who have been asking me about my process.

Yes, it will seem like a lot of information. No, do not let that intimidate you. If I can do it, you can do it. And I want you to. So go check that post out.

And for this one, well, as always it’s random, weird, and good all at the same time. In fact, in an effort to up the randomness even more in the next few weeks I will be mixing up our Wednesdays with a new addition to this beloved segment tentatively titled “What DUDES Are Digging, Wednesdays.” At Easter, my awesome brother-in-law requested that I add some more men’s items to this list. And since he’s family and also one of my top fans (give it up for the family that supports you), I’m gonna give him what he’s asking for.

So stay tuned for that, it will be fun.

In the meantime, enjoy this list. It’s quirky and fun and I hope you love it.

what i'm digging wednesday 4.20

  1. Honest Beauty CC Tinted Cream: I have been on the hunt for a new HG tinted moisturizer with a good level spf (none of that 15 nonsense, I need at least a 30). For years I was a loyal Laura Mercier fan, but they recently reformulated and I just can’t get behind their new version. It leaves my face like the Exxon Valdez and then disappears before midday. Big fail. I wanted something with moderate coverage that has enough moisture to stand alone, without the need for an extra moisturizer under it. On a whim, I grabbed this Honest Beauty CC Cream the other day and was surprised at how much I liked it for an impulse purchase. It gives great coverage and is buildable depending on how much you want. I have applied it with both a damp sponge and my fingers and prefer the finish when I use the sponge, but we all know lazy me will use my fingers most often. It doesn’t leave a shiny mess after a few hours and wears well througout the day. I love that it is SPF 30 and that it is clean(er) beauty I can feel good about. For just $23 I like the price, as well. Definitely a good buy for these spring and summer months. Grab yours HERE.

  2. Primal Kitchen Dairy-free Buffalo Sauce: Ok. So this is super random, but I’ve become obsessed with this sauce ever since a bottle showed up in an Imperfect Foods order a few weeks ago. It’s got a great creamy consistency, not too thin but not too thick. It pours well, dips well, and makes the perfect sauce for meat, veggies, toast, whatever you want buffalo sauce on. Which for me, is everything. Since working on upping my veggie and protein intake and cutting my carbs, this has become a mainstay. I roast vegetables and sausage and add the sauce. I shred chicken and toss it with the sauce. I use it on eggs. I use it on freaking everything. The fact that it’s healthy, dairy-free, and low sugar just makes it that much better. If you’re a buffalo sauce freak like I am, this is one to have in the fridge for sure. Grab your bottles HERE.

  3. Eden Lifestyle Boutique: Like the true last-minute mom that I am, I didn’t even start thinking about Easter Baskets until Thursday of last week. Yes. I know. That’s kind of ridiculous. But, whatever. My kids are old enough that they’re lucky to get baskets, if you ask me. Anyway, I was up against the gun and couldn’t Amazon anything nor did I want to be running all over town for a million different things. So I grabbed candy at my local heaven Target and then stopped in to this new-to-me boutique called Eden Lifestyle Boutique. Not only did I walk into the cutest, most adorable home/clothing/gift shop I have ever seen, it just so happened that my friend, Shelley, was working there. So it was kind of a two-fer deal. Anyway, with Shelley’s help I managed to knock Kenzie’s basket out of the park with a glitter pencil bag with her inital on it, some hair ties, and a luxurious bath salt pack, but I also got jelly bean packages for all the kids which were (and I quote) “the fanciest and best jelly beans EVER.” I cannot believe it took me this long to go to this local gem. Whether you’re looking for last-minute gifts, a dress or outfit for an event 0r just because, or something special for someone special and you just don’t know what that something special is, this is the place you need to go. Yes, it’s local to Frisco. BUT, they do offer shipping so even if you’re not in town, you can grab something here and send it to yourself or to whoever.

  4. Plant Tees from Jane: Will I ever stop posting about my love of plants? No. Probably not. #sorrynotsorry Call it my inner hippie, call it what you will, I am a full-blown plant addict and I don’t even care who doesn’t like it. OK. I care a little. Just not enough to stop. So when I saw these cute plant tees from one of my favorite guilty pleasures, Jane.com I could not help myself. First of all, they are true. I am distracted by plants and it’s not hoarding if it’s plants. Second of all, I love me a good tee and these are too cute to pass up. So if you’re a plant lover or know a plant lover, these are the graphic tees for you. Also, if you’re not familiar with Jane, I highly recommend taking a spin around the entire site. With something for everyone, you’re bound to walk away with way too much in your shopping cart. Once again, sorry not sorry. You can thank me later. Grab your very own plant tees HERE.

Thanks so much for spending your Wednesday with me, friends. Don’t forget to head on over to my composting post today too and stay tuned for some fun stuff coming your way. I’ve got a special Mother’s Day edition of WIDW with something for everyone and the first installment of the new segment What DUDES Are Digging Wednesday is coming soon too.

I bet you can’t wait for that one.

Peace, love, and Wednesdays,

Meg
