The Weekly Edit–June 13th

the weekly edit 6.13

Hey Friends, welcome to my newest feature, The Weekly Edit 6.13. Just like What I’m Digging Wednesday, this will be a recurring feature where I share the things I’m into. This particular one, though, will be the things I’m wearing each week. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

Because, y’all, to be real, it is not always pretty up in this house.

But, because I love to share what I’m doing, what I’m wearing, and sometimes even the WHY behind it, I thought this was a super easy and fun way to do it.

So the Weekly Edit formula is quite simple, really. It’s seven outfits with links if they’re applicable. Of course, because this is my job, most (but not all) of the links are affiliate links, which means I make a small commission from sales but I am sharing the things I love and wear so you know I’m not just here for the sales!

Monday: Summer Dresses and On-Trend Sandals

This fun colorblock dress is comfortable and light for hot Texas summers. I love the ruffle sleeve detail and it’s airy feel. It comes in multiple colors and is on-trend for summer. The braided sandals are a staple in my summer wardrobe. Comfortable and neutral, they go with everything.

Tuesday: My Staple Uniform

If I had to pick on go-to staple uniform for summer it would be this: cut off jean shorts and a long-sleeve button-down. You’ll see it in various versions every week, yet somehow eventhough it’s on repeat it never gets old to me.

Wednesday: Casual Chic with Sneaks

This is, by far, one of my favorite summer looks. Super easy, yet everytime I wear it I get compliments. This skirt is budget-friendly and comes in a ton of different colors and the denim jacket is the one not budget-friendly item I think every woman needs to invest in. Plus, you can never go wrong with Addidas, can you?

Thursday: Sundresses and Rainbows

What is cuter than these shoes? I really don’t know. But, they rank up there in my top ten for sure. Also, they go with everything and provide so much color and live to every outfit. I love them paired with this adorable dress that is comfortable, easy, comes in a ton of colors, and has (wait for it) POCKETS. A total win of a summer outfit that looks like it took a heck of a lot more thought than it did.

Friday: Same Formula, Different Look

See what I mean about the jeans + button down formula? How easy is this? I, for one, love a good chambray shirt and paired with crisp white denim cut offs and a pop of color shoe? It’s a formula for success every time.

Saturday: Date Night Fab

Saturday is date night for a lot of people and eventhough we don’t get out as much as we’d like (those pesky kids), when we do, I love to go all out. There is something fun and classic about a black dress and a red shoe but don’t sleep on the fun earrings in this set. They come in a pack of nine and all are fabulous!

Sunday: Casual

There are a lot of Sundays I do not get out of my pajamas (I’ll share those days too, don’t worry). But if I do get dressed, I like to keep it casual and easy, no tight clothes, nothing I can’t take a nice long nap in. These linen pants are just the thing for lazy Sunday summers and I adore them. They’re also part of the Summer Capsule from Outfit Formulas (don’t forget to sign up for this!) and a great staple for warm weather.

So, what do you think about the first version of my new series, The Weekly Edit 6.13? I’d love to hear your feedback and know what you are looking for from this series? More budget-friendly buys? More date night? More unique pieces? All of the above? I’m here for it so drop me a line! I’d love to know.

Peace, love, and outfits,
Meg
