Hey y’all! Welcome to What I’m Digging Wednesday 10.19.

Because this week is Gift Guide Week, I almost didn’t put out a WIDW. I mean, I’m certain you’ll get sick of me by Friday. I know I will be sick of myself by then. However, I also know that some of you get really excited for this quirky little series and since they’re so easy for me to put together, I figured why not?

Besides, I always have new things I’m digging so it just makes sense to keep sharing them, right?

Anyway, I hope you find something new to love in this list, and don’t forget to check out the gift guides for HER and HIM and stay tuned because I’ve also got ones coming for TEENS and one for HOSTESSES (or teachers or whatever…)

What I’m Digging Wednesday 10.19

  1. J.Crew Factory Crewneck Sweater in Extra Soft Yarn: It’s a well-established fact that I have sensory issues with clothes. More than looking good, I need them to feel good or I just won’t be comfortable all day. This sweater from J.Crew Factory doesn’t feel good. It feels GREAT. Made from the softest yarn it is cozy, soft, and so comfortable I never want to take it off. In a classic crewneck fit with a tuckable hem, this is an everyday sweater you will see on me just about every day. Camel is definitely my color of the season, but it comes in a variety of different colors to suit your fancy. Grab yourself one, two, or all of them. You will not regret it for one second. Get it HERE.
  2. THE Gift Guides: *SHAMELESS SELF-PROMO ALERT* I don’t normally do this, but I worked so freaking hard on these gift guides and I’m so proud of all of them that I had to include them in this week’s WIDW, right? Otherwise, I’m just missing the boat. So this year I divided them into categories. We’ve got one for HER (meaning YOU, your mom, your sister, all the ladies in your life), HIM (meaning YOU, your husband, boyfriend, fiance, dad, all the men in your life), TEENS (meaning, well, TEENS and tweens), and HOSTESS (meaning anyone else like teacher, hostess, crazy Aunts, distant cousins, gifts to have on hand “just in case”). I’ve got them all and it would mean the world to me if you could check them out! His and Hers are out already. Teens and Hostesses come out in the next two days. Like, save, and share them (especially on Pinterest–my lifeblood). It would mean the world to me.
  3. The Curse of Bridge Hollow: When I was in first grade I was at a birthday party happily watching Care Bears or some little girl nonsense like that when the birthday girl’s older brother came in and changed it to Thriller like some sort of animal or serial killer or something. Anyway, because I was (and still am) too proud to admit that I am a certifiable wuss, I sat there and watched the whole dang thing even though I was dying inside. It wasn’t until I got in the car and shut the door when the party was over that I let out all of my pent-up terror in the form of one long wail that transferred over to sleeping with the lights on until I was 15. Ok. Some of this is an exaggeration. But, I’m telling you because I want it to be clear that I do not like scary movies. I don’t even like Halloween all that much. The only spooky season I want is pumpkin-shaped Reese’s. For real. However, this weekend Kenz and I sat down to watch this family-friendly flick on Netflix and we both loved it. It’s funny, entertaining, and good for the whole family (mild language if you’re picky). We had a blast watching it together and I loved that I was able to share in at least some of the Halloween fun without needing a nightlight and EMDR therapy when it was through. So if you’re a weenie like I am but want a fun spooky season movie to watch with the kids, head on over to Netflix and check this one out. It’s fun.
  4. Eastland Women’s Ida Chelsea Boot: I have been on the hunt for the perfect Chelsea boot for a while now. It’s almost embarrassing how many I’ve ordered and returned. I have very specific requirements. I don’t want them too chunky because I’m not 16 and wearing Doc Martens again. But I also don’t want them too sleek and tailored so I look like I’m heading to the office. It’s a very fine line. I had almost given up when I stumbled upon these Eastland Ida Chelsea Boots. The reviews on these don’t lie. First of all, they’re super comfortable. I have a very high arch so the padding fits perfectly on my oddly shaped foot. If you have a low arch or flat feet you might struggle a bit with the built-in arch support, but my guess is you’d grow into it. The leather is the perfect dark brown, a chestnut almost. And the style walks the line between chunky and sleek like a boss. I love these boots and don’t plan on taking them off anytime soon. I’m probably also going to grab them in black. That’s how much I like them. Need a fall boot to take you through to spring? This is the one you need. Get yours HERE. (I recommend sizing up a half-size to make room for winter socks)

Thank you all so much for hanging out with my every Wednesday and for sticking around to check out my gift guides. They’re so fun and I put so much work into them. The fact that you stick around and trust me to bring you all of these things every week means the world to me. I’m humbled and grateful.

Peace, love, and Wednesdays,
