What I’m Digging Wednesday 4.28

what ii'm digging wednesday 4.28

Hey Friends! Welcome to What I’m Digging Wednesday 4.28. In this “summer friendly” edition of our favorite weekly segment I’ve got the classic earrings I wear almost every single day, a reboot of a classic album I have on repeat, an influencer famous swimsuit that lives up to its hype (even if the influencers who share it are super annoying) and a callous remover that is gross yet satisfying.

How’s that for random?

Anyway, I hope you find something fantastic to fall in love with on this list, and remember that I’m always open to sharing your biz or your product! I love supporting my people so drop me a line if you want to collab!

Some of the links in this post are affiliate links, which means I make a small commission if you purchase from them.
  1. Stella and Dot Hammered Wire Large Hoops: I have always been a minimalist when it comes to jewelry. I have three things I wear every day: my wedding rings, the antique two-cent piece pendant my grandmother gave me, and these gold hoops. That’s it. I might add in another set of necklaces for layering if I’m feeling fancy or my favorite stretchy gold bracelets from The Glam Gypsy. But every single day, as long as I am dressed beyond workout clothes or sweatpants, these are my staples. I got these classic hoops from my dear friend Bridget who has been with Stella and Dot for years. I love how simple and lightweight they are. I love that they are hoops, but just a little funky (kind of like me). I love that I can wear them every single day, no matter the occasion, and feel like I’m put together. I dig them this Wednesday and every other day of the week and feel like they are definitely a staple you should be digging too, grab yours from Bridget HERE.

  2. Finding Wildflowers by Tom Petty: I am a classic rock girl through and through. I was raised on the music of the 60s, 70s, and 80s and haven’t done an awfully good job of evolving past that. I’m mildly music nerdy about it and of the millions of things my kids might learn from me, a healthy understanding of the history and value of rock and roll is one of the top ones I hope they pick up. Tom Petty was a major player in my high school soundtrack. The original Wildflowers was part of my anthem with classics like You Don’t Know How It Feels To Be Me (doesn’t every teenager need this song in their life) and You Wreck Me. When Petty died in 2017, it was a tough one to swallow. So when Finding Wildflowers was released with new, never-before-heard music from him I was like a kid in a candy shop. I love its rough around the edges cuts, its gritty feel, and mostly, I love that it’s one more piece of Petty I can have in my life even after he’s gone. It’s been on repeat for weeks (and is right now as I type these words). A definite must-have for all classic rock fans, I highly recommend grabbing it from wherever you stream music.

  3. The Sidestroke by Sumersalt: I’m going to preface this one by saying that I understand this suit needs no extra love. Every influencer on the face of the fashion influencer planet has shared this. Oftentimes in a very annoying video series that inexplicably involves a lot of rocking back and forth and talking to themselves in a mirror. Whatever. Normally I don’t want to share cult pieces that every other influencer on Earth has already shared. But, this one actually lives up to its own hype and that, in itself, makes it worth the share. I am a two-piece swimsuit junkie. I will be until I am too old to make it anything other than obscene. But Sumersalt’s clever marketing convinced me that I can be a Klassy Lady at the Pool in this ultra-flattering suit so I bit the bullet and got it. You know what? I’m glad I did. It is truly one of the most flattering suits I’ve ever seen. It’s comfy. It looks good on every single person I’ve seen wear it. And it’s secure, which is great if you’re chasing littles by the pool. The only slight drawback is the white is slightly sheer so if I were to do it all over again, I would get black. Either way, I don’t get paid for this one and am not an affiliate. Nor will you ever see an awkward marketing video of me in it. You’re just gonna have to trust me that it’s worth its weight in swimsuit gold. Grab yours HERE.

  4. Own Harmony Electric Callus Remover: In yet another example of me digging (and sharing) weird things, I’m going to tell you that this Callous remover is something you need in your life. Is it glamorous? Nope. Is it cool? Absolutely not. Is it necessary so your heels don’t snag on your blankets like talons? Yes. Yes, it is. True fact: there is almost nothing grosser to me than feet. I have been known to jump straight out of bed if Jeff’s toes so much as graze my leg. He finds this highly entertaining. I, however, do not. Feet are just ratchet. But sandpaper feet are even worse, y’all. And as we’re just getting started on sandal season, I am begging every single human to invest $30 in this thing so the world is not filled with an entire human race of scratchy-footed humans. Please. I’m begging you. For $30 this little thing files your rough heels down to baby butt level softness. It’s kind of gross. It’s kind of satisfying. But either way, it’s definitely something that is necessary. So hop on it. Grab yours HERE.

Alright, y’all, thanks for stopping by and playing the What I’m Digging Game with me this week. As always, my heart and soul behind this feature is to share fun and unique things with you. I love introducing you to small companies you might not know about, new products from small businesses and humans doing extraordinary things. So if you’ve got something you want me to share, drop me a line. I love hearing from you all.

Peace, love, and Wednesdays,

Meg
