What I’m Digging Wednesday–The Fan Favorites

what I'm digging wednesday the fan favorites

I have been so excited to share this week’s What I’m Digging Wednesday–the fan favorites. It’s taken some time to gather all of the click-throughs and data and statistics, mostly because I hate gathering click-throughs, data, and statistics, but I finally was able to narrow down the top NINE WIDW items. And honestly, I’m kind of surprised. Y’all like weird things just as much as I do, but you definitely have a type.

From self-care journals to bathing suits, from necklaces to hardcore exfoliators, the top items all seem to fall into the “I am woman, hear me roar” category. Meaning, most of them are for the ladies. Not one household item made the cut, which was surprising to me, but also welcome feedback which will help me better pick my future WIDW items.

Needless to say, you all like this series a lot. I’m surprised every week when I look at the numbers and I love getting random little notes telling me you love my selections and look forward to them. It makes me feel a little like Stuart Smalley and, gosh darn it, I am so glad you like me.

*Old people joke*

Anyway, without further adieu, here is the very best What I’m Digging Wednesday, the fan favorites.

This post contains some affiliate links, which means that I make a small commission from each item purchased. Don’t worry, though, I only share what I love so you’re safe with each and every piece here.
  1. Today with Intention Journal: Y’all REALLY loved this journal and, besides the necklace set, it was the WIDW item with the most click-throughs. This is pretty shocking because it’s one of the newer items too, so it hasn’t had as much time to stick around and get noticed. But, its well-deserved because this journal truly is awesome. It’s my five-minute wind-down right before I put my head on the pillow. It prompts me to reflect on my day and find the good in it, even if it was a tough one, and pushes me to set an intention for the coming day and direct my focus to positive outcomes for the future. I LOVE this journal and when it runs out I will 100% be getting a new one. I highly recommend it for anyone, new to journaling or an old pro, who could use a nighttime prompt to help them close out the day with a grateful heart and a solid intention for the day to come. Grab yours HERE.

  2. Wool Fedora Wide Brim Buckle Hat: I’m wondering if this hat’s popularity is due, at least in part, to the fact that I wear it all the time. Mostly to hide hair I refuse to fix on a regular basis, but that’s neither here nor there. Because I wear it so often, it pops up on my feed and in my stories all.the.time. So this makes it kind of a pseudo-celebrity in its own right. Right? Anyway, you all love this hat. It’s very clear. And it deserves all of the love and praise. Believe me. Grab yours HERE.

  3. Cupshe Ruffle One-Piece Swimsuit: When it comes to swimsuits, I’ll be honest and say this one is in a dead heat tie with the Summersalt swimsuit I shared in May. They are both extremely flattering, sexy without being SEEEXXXXYYY, and functional swimsuits for women who want a good suit to feel pretty in, but also would like to, you know, swim. This one edges out the pricier Summersalt only because it’s a better value. For just around $35 you get an ultra-flattering suit that is comfortable and makes you feel like a million bucks. You can’t go wrong with either, but this one is a Fan Favorite for a reason. Grab it HERE.

  4. Philosophy Renewed Hope in a Jar Peeling Exfoliator: This one got major props from multiple followers who snagged it when I first shared it back in April. And honestly, I don’t blame them. This little blue liquid gem is a dream. You can actually see it exfoliating your face, rolling all of the bits of grossness you don’t really want to know are on there in the first place right off as you scrub. Perfect for when your face is dry and patchy and feels overall just congested, this little tube is a lifesaver for tired summer skin. Grab it HERE and use it weekly, your skin will thank you.

  5. Nomadland: I can’t take all the credit for the popularity of this WIDW favorite, mostly because it was a movie that did win an Oscar and all. But I can say that so many of you messaged me to tell me about your experience and feelings on the book or the movie and it sparked a lot of really deep and meaningful conversations. This one is close to my heart because it was recommended by one of my favorite Instagrammers, Cinetastic reviews, and it was one of the only movies I’ve watched in a long time that really hit my heart deep. I highly recommend the book (available at the local library) and the movie. You can’t go wrong with one or the other. Grab the book at your local library or watch the movie on HULU.

  6. The Glam Gypsy Bella Bracelets: These little bracelets were a HUGE fan favorite because they are SO easy to wear and perfectly lightweight for summer. I wear mine every single day and love how they are not only stylish (said just like my late grandmother would say), they are also a little bit of sensory fun for when I’m feeling anxious and need something to fiddle with on my hands. The perfect easy style staple, I highly recommend grabbing a set, or two or three. You will wear them daily.

  7. Catan: Sure, this game might start family world wars from time to time and maybe pushed one member of my family to have a temper tantrum the size of Texas (read: me. It was me). But Catan is truly one of the best games for families out there. All of the strategies of RISK without the time commitment, this game centers around establishing trade routes and building settlements. It involves trading, building alliances, commandeering ports, and all of the things Oregon Trail, without dysentery. (Second old people joke of the post). If you are a board game family, or you’re just looking for something to get your kids to look up from their screens. I highly recommend this one. As one follower wrote: “We Love Catan. Someone always gets pi$$ed though.” So you know it’s gonna be a good time. Grab yours HERE.

  8. Stella and Dot Hammered Wire Large Hoops: These are the hoops I wear every single day. They are classics, with a twist. They’re lightweight so you don’t get that weird elongated dragging earlobe thing that my grandmother had, and they are the perfect piece to add to any outfit to finish it off. When I shared these, that I got from my sweet friend Bridget who sells Stella and Dot, so many of you commented that you either have them and love them OR you snagged yourself a pair from my post and adore them just as much as I do. If you’re a classics girl like I am, these are the hoops you need in your life. Grabs yours HERE.

  9. Dainty layered Choker Necklace: One of the first items to ever be featured on What I’m Digging Wednesday, this little layered necklace set is also, by far, the most clicked fan favorite of the bunch. My own sister-in-law snagged this one from my post and wears it often and I’ve seen it on the necks of quite a few other friends and followers as well. It’s the perfect little summer layering piece, not too much, not too heavy, just the right size and weight. It dresses up every outfit, can be worn all together or separately, and is just a gorgeous piece that belies its bargain-basement price. If there is one WIDW piece you should snag, this might be it. So get on it and grab it HERE.

After nearly three months of posting WIDW content, I still think it’s the most random fun I’ve had on the internet. And I’m so glad that you’re here for it too. I’m taking another week off next week because we will be in sunny Florida, but after that, I’ll be back and sharing random stuff that I’m digging each Wednesday, same time, same place.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for showing up. You all mean the world to me.

Peace, love, and Wednesdays,
Meg
