what i'm digging wednesday 9.14

Hey Friends! Welcome to What I’m Digging Wednesday 9.14. I hope you enjoyed last week’s foray into GameDay chic and found some new goods to help you get through whatever kind of gameday festivities you have going on this season in style.

But for this list, we’re back to the usual, just fun quirky items you’re used to from my Wednesday finds. In here you’ll find the linen joggers I’ve been wearing on repeat as we transition into fall, the exfoliator I use when my skin is feeling rough, the new jean collection for real ladies with real lady bodies, and the smoothie add-on I’ve got my kids hooked on.

Random. Fun. Just a little Wednesday magic from me to you.

what i'm digging wednesday 9.14

  1. Athleta Cabo Linen Joggers: True story: I have been eyeing these joggers for about a year, from the very first time I laid my eyes on them at Athleta. I love the light wash linen, and how they are cut like a traditional jogger but have a bit more dress-up versatility due to the wash and the detailing (the zipper and waistband). However, in an act of sheer restraint, I did not grab them until they were discounted in late summer. Since then, however, I’ve been wearing them on repeat, especially on days when I’m working from home (which is every day) but also plan on running errands or being out in public in any way. They are ultra-comfortable (just like my Vuori joggers), and flattering and I love how they are helping me transition from summer to fall. Also, as a bonus to you all, they’re on sale right now STILL. So grab yours quickly before they sell out and prepare to fall in love! Get yours HERE.

  2. Eminence Strawberry Rhubarb Facial Scrub: This weird in-between time of summer transitioning to fall always sends my skin into a little bit of a tailspin. I get dry and oily (weird how that happens), break out a little, and overall am just congested and feeling yucky. Last week I had about had it with this mess of a face of mine. I was ready to go back to wearing masks, not to protect myself from COVID but to hide. That’s when I remembered this little bottle of deliciousness sitting in my shower. This organic scrub is a finely milled powder, nothing like those giant granules us girls of the 1990s used in the dreaded apricot scrub. But it definitely takes care of business, gently polishing away any clogged skin, yucky residue, and leftover summer nonsense without irritating my sensitive skin. You can mix it into a cleanser and use it that way, or take the lazy person’s hack like I do and just pour a tiny bit in your palm in the shower and rub it all over your face. Both get the same result. I highly recommend this to anyone who, like me, just likes the feel of a scrub every once in a while but doesn’t want to destroy your face. Oh, and the bottle lasts forever too, which is a good thing. Grab yours HERE.

  3. Blender Bombs Cacao and Peanut Butter Bombs: It’s no secret that my family has a bit of a love affair with smoothies. I have one just about every afternoon. Connor makes one every night. And Jeff makes a mean smoothie every once in a while as well. We love them so much that we have a whole blender dedicated to them as its sole purpose in our kitchen. We’re smoothie-obsessed. So when I came across these little blender bombs as an easy way to make a smoothie even more nutritious, I had to give them a try. Specifically, I was interested in how they can add more nutrients and healthy fats to Connor’s smoothie since he is continuously in a teenage boy’s “bulking season.” (his words, not mine). Turns out, he loves them. His go-to smoothie is a chocolate banana smoothie, so the most logical addition is these Cacao Peanut Butter bombs, but I’m blown away by the other options and can’t wait to snag myself the Goji, Coconut, and Acai for my own personal favorite smoothie–orange, berry, banana. If you’ve got kids who love smoothies and could use an extra dose of nutrients, proteins, and healthy fats, or if you are smoothie obsessed yourself, get a package and see what goodness you can add to your smoothie with one simple “BOMB.” Get yours HERE.

  4. Democracy Ab-Solution Girlfriend Jeans: I had a bit of an epiphany the other day as I was cleaning out my closet and moving my fall clothes front and center. And my epiphany was this: I have terrible jeans but way too many of them. Whether it’s because I’m holding on to jeans from 5 years ago when I was a freaking size zero or because I, more often than not, impulse buy cheap jeans without really thinking about it or doing research, my closet has become overrun with jeans that are just “MEH,” not terrible, but not great. And, honestly, I am tired of that. Girls, we all know that finding the right pair of denim is kind of like finding the holy grail. I was tired of settling and ready to be like Indiana Jones of the denim world so I set off on a mission. After research, talking to people, and polling my outfit formulas group (seriously, get in on this group, it’s amazing) it was clear that a brand called Democracy Jeans was overwhelmingly the top recommendation. So I ordered myself a pair. Guess what? All those people were right. These jeans are built for women’s bodies, not for models. They have tummy control without being a corset, and they lift and push all the right things the right way. I was blown away by how well they fit and also how comfortable they are. I now have a pair of bootcut and straight leg on order and can’t wait to check those out as well. So, ladies, if you’re like me and tired of your butt looking old and flat because we’re not built for Mom jeans anymore but still want to look trendy, get yourself a pair of these ASAP. You’re going to love them. I can almost guarantee it. Get yours HERE.

I hope you enjoy this fun little list and find yourself the perfect jeans, smoothie addition, or face scrub while you’re at it. See you next week for everybody’s favorite mid-week pick-me-up. And in the meantime, remember to like, save, share, and follow. It means the world to me when you do.

Peace, love, and Wednesdays,
Meg
